Thinking about New Orleans? This healthy Cajun seasoning blend is terrific for dirty rice, gumbo, blackening, and chili. It can be made mild or hot, depending on the amount you add to your recipe. Strictly Cajun is also great for chicken, fish, and meats. And..... No MSG No Sugar No Salt
Here's all you do:
For Blackened Fish, Chickenm Meats: Blend 1 TBL of Strictly Cajun & 1 TBL of California Garlic Peppers seasoning into 1 stick of melted butter or margarine. Rub or brush mixture onto chicken, fish or meat before cooking...or, put chicken, fish or meat in foil with mixture and bake or grill.
For Cajun Eggplant: Combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1/4 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of Strictly Cajun. Cut 1 medium eggplant into 1/2" slices and dip eggplant slices into mixture. Coat with Ritz brand crackers. Arrange in baking pan and bake for 15 minutes. Put favorite cheese on top and melt.
For Party Dip: Mix 1 1/2 tablespoons of Strictly Cajun with 3/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of mayonnaise (or substitute 1 cup whipped cream cheese with just enough sour cream to make it easy to mix). Let set in refrigerator at least 4 hours before serving.
To Take The Usual Up A Notch: Just sprinkle Strictly Cajun on your chicken, fish, meats and vegetables. You may also like using the Party Dip as a sauce for shrimp.
